The National Union of Okitipupa Local Government Students at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, held an empowerment programme and distributed palliatives to its members to support them ahead of the forthcoming semester examinations.
The event, held at the institution's auditorium, was aimed at encouraging students to remain focused on their academic pursuits despite prevailing economic challenges.
Speaking at the programme on behalf of the Chairman of the Ondo State Agriculture and Business Empowerment Centre (OSAEC), Hon. Rotimi Akinsola, Prince Adeoye Omolemimu said the initiative was designed to motivate students to remain committed to their education and pursue their dreams with determination.
He urged the students to stay focused, make responsible decisions, and remain committed to achieving success in their chosen careers.
In his remarks, the President of the association, Comrade Segun Akinkunle, expressed appreciation to the Governor of Ondo State, , and Hon. Rotimi Akinsola for supporting the initiative.
According to him, the empowerment programme and palliatives would provide relief to students and enable them to concentrate on their preparations for the forthcoming examinations.
The programme concluded with the presentation of empowerment support and palliatives to members of the association.
