MASS COMMUNICATION DEPARTMENT TO INSTALL SOLAR SYSTEM

RUGIPO: Mass Communication Department to Install Solar System

The Head of the Department of Mass Communication, Mr. Okioya Solomon, has proposed the installation of a solar power system for the department, calling on students to support this innovative project.

This announcement was made by Senator Olopete Samuel Oluwadamilola, Chairman of the 34th Capital Project and Installation Committee of the 34th Senate House, during an interview with RUGIPO Press.

According to the Chairman, the project aims to enhance the department's operational efficiency and provide benefits for both students and staff.

"It will greatly benefit the students by reducing delays in checking their results and lowering the high costs associated with fuel. With the installation of the solar system, we can significantly cut down on expenses," he stated.

Senator Samuel also noted that the project would involve not only the Department of Mass Communication but also the Faculty of Applied Science (FAS), Science Laboratory Technology (SLT), and the Engineering Department.

In his plea, Mr. Okioya urged all Mass Communication students to support the project, emphasizing that their contributions would help elevate the department to a new level.

The HOD clarified that student contributions are voluntary and no one should feel pressured to participate, highlighting that the project is intended to benefit the department and its students in the future.
