I DON'T BELIEVE THAT WOMEN ARE WEAKER VESSEL.

The Rector, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, Mr Gani Ogundahunsi has affirm that, He does not believes that women are weaker vessel. 



The Rector unveiled this while speaking with our correspondence in a program organize by the Women in Technical Eniducation (WITED) to mark the international women's day at the Adekunle Ajasin auditorium yesterday on a topic, 'women in leadership achieving an equal future in covid-19'.  

He stressed further that, women are intelligent and they can do better in the society if given the chance. 

Also speaking, the polytechnic liberian, Mrs Aladeniyi FS. emphasize on women who one way or the other contribute to the growth of the society with the likes of , Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu the wife of Ondo state Governor and founder  of breast cancer Association of Nigeria (BRECA), Dr. Ngozi Okonji-Iweala the first African and first female director general of world  Trade  organization.,Late prof. Dora anyanwu , Late funmilayo and lots more. 

In the same vein,  the Head Of mass communication, department Mrs. Iyadunni Florence Adedowole advised women not to be discouraged by their background, culture or religion. 

"You shouldn't see yourselves as second feddle but should take the courage of going for class Governor, SUG President and not always going for deputy or vice". 

She added that, women should always support one another and never to  discouraged one and another whenever they are going for a leadership position. 

The family physicians consultant Dr. Mrs O.E Adeleke in her speech encourage women to take care of her health which will enable them to achieve their goals and a rainbow diet which contains fruit and all classes of food. 

However, the WITED Coordinator Rugipo chapter, Dr. Mrs, OJO  advised students to visit their office as their open to all female beside the former Siwes Office. 

"Gender Equality, protection of female in this institution and beyond is our goal" She said
