The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has confirmed the appointment of Simeon Olorunwa Adegun as the substantive Rector of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic (RUGIPO), Owo.
Dr. Adegun had been serving in an acting capacity since October 2024 before his confirmation by the state government.
The confirmation brings an end to months of uncertainty surrounding the leadership of the institution and is expected to provide stability in the administration of the polytechnic.
Observers within the academic community believe the move will strengthen governance and enhance decision-making processes within the institution.
The appointment also underscores the state government’s commitment to ensuring effective leadership in its tertiary institutions.
