Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, continued its 2024/2025 orientation programme for newly admitted students on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

The PRESS Council reports that the orientation for the greenhorns had commenced yesterday and their matriculation is slated for tomorrow.

The event, which took place in the institution’s 800-seater auditorium, began at 10:10 a.m. and was filled with enthusiasm and active participation.

A key highlight of the day was a presentation by Mr. Abiodun Ogunduboye from the Career Service Centre, who explained the centre’s role in guiding students toward successful career paths.

His insightful session sparked significant engagement among the students.

Following this, Dr. Adeolu provided an in-depth explanation of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), covering eligibility requirements, benefits, application procedures, and repayment terms.

However, Mr. Jide also contributed by addressing students’ questions and offering further clarification on the loan scheme.

Another engaging session, led by Dr. Yinka, focused on “Campus Couples Life, Indecent Dressing, and Benefits.”

The discussion provided students with valuable advice on maintaining respectful relationships and adopting appropriate dress codes.

As part of the programme’s interactive approach, a student who displayed exceptional boldness, confidence, and courage was recognized and awarded.

The orientation programme is designed to equip fresh students with essential knowledge, skills, and values that will help them navigate their academic journey successfully.
