GLITZ AS COG CELEBRATES NEW REPS

The Council of Governors(COG), Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo(RUGIPO), held her 2024 Freshers welcoming party in a grand style yesterday.

The event which was held at the institution's Adekunle Ajasin auditorium hall, was graced by the students adviser, the former chairman and the Students Union Government(SUG) Leaders.

In her welcoming speech, the students adviser,Mrs Sasere counseled the COG members especially the newly elected representatives each departments to cooperate with their chairman and uphold the core conduct of leadership by abiding the rules and regulations of the institution.

"You are the head of your classes and most closest to the institution and finally you should always help and cooperate with each other for the progress of the institution".

More so, the COG chairman, Comrade Atitebi Precious commended the effort of the council's executives for making the event glamorous and admonished the new representatives to be self oriented, reiterated the significance of being a good leader.

Meanwhile, the launching of the council's Crest was reiterated in which the father of the day supported it with a sum of #10,000.

However, the contest for Mr and Miss COG took place, leading to the emergence of

Ebiwanno Ajara (Vine) as the 2024 Mr COG.
