After twelve long years, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo (RUGIPO), is set to hold her 12th–23rd Combined Convocation Ceremonies scheduled to hold from 20th -26th of October, 2025.
This convocation marks a historic moment for the institution, as the last ceremony was held in 2013. The management, led by the Acting Rector, Mr. Olorunwa Simon Adegun, expressed joy at witnessing this long-awaited event, which symbolizes growth and renewed commitment to academic excellence.
The event, which will take place at the 800-Seater Auditorium and other venues within the school, will feature several activities including a press conference, football match, convocation lecture, alumni gala night, and the award of prizes and certificates.
RUGIPO Press Council Chairman, Mr Atere Temidayo stated that,
“It’s a great privilege to witness this remarkable event after 12 years. On behalf of the RUGIPO Press Council, I encourage all students to stay informed and participate fully in this convocation week”
He also assured that, RUGIPO Press will keep everyone updated with daily coverage, highlights, and interviews on the awaiting event.
