The newly admitted students of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic,Owo,(RUGIPO), received an orientation from the Management today.
The orientation which was scheduled to hold for three days, commenced today at the institution's 800 Sitters and was attended by the acting bursary, the Library coordinator,
The chairman of I.C.T Technical board, the chairman of Examination Malpractice(EMIC) and The B Division D.P.O, who gave their advice respectively.
The acting rector who was represented by Mr Adebisi admonished the newly admitted students to shun any form of immorality and face their primary assignment by studying harder to achieve their desired goals.
Meanwhile,The dean of students affairs, Mr Olu-Braimoh Henry, gave his welcoming speech, urged the students to cooperate with all the facilitators by allowing the institution to pass through them as they pass through it.
"I will want to reiterate the commitment of the directorate of student Affairs (DSA) towards adequate mentoring of our students, ensuring peace on campus and above all, our unalloyed support for the administration".
The students were however appealed to start making all necessary payments before the commencement of Examination as the portal's issues has been resolved and were implored to abstain from Cultism, and Shun Examination malpractices as anyone caught in such act faces the panel which could lead to expulsion or result confiscation.
