SRC PRESIDENT COLLAPSES AMIDST CONFLICT

The Student Representative Council (SRC) of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic,Owo,(RUGIPO), held their second Constitutional Sitting at the institution's Central Cafe today.

The Sitting was marred by conflict between the SRC and and the Students Union Government(SUG)Council due to the failure to provide the list of Students Judiciary Council(SJC) faculty list and the absence of the executives responsible for budget defense lists.

Temidayo in response said that only two out of six faculties lists was ready and the delay was as a result of some faculties who have to consult their officers and promised to provide it by next sitting.

Senator Olopete Samuel reacted that the SUG president promised in the previous sitting to present it at the next sitting but still not ready.

Temidayo in defence, said that he never mentioned it in the last sitting to present it at the next sitting and demanded for an apology from the chief clerk which she did.

However, a suggestion which was raised by one Senator to suspend the SUG executives was declined by the house which resulted into chaos.
