ABSENCE OF THE RED CROSS FOR EMERGENCIES

The Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Red cross team, who are responsible for the first aid response to any injured student were absent during the departmental football fixtures.

Their absence Resulted to multiple unattended seizures from players without any medical attention, and unclean field pilled up with refuses, which is seen as a form of lack of duty from the Red cross team.

It was gathered that the Red cross team were only present for the first early games regardless of the supplied equipments for medical attention for the players which will last them throughout the fixtures game.

However, the Student Union Government (SUG) Sports director, Abulogbon Odunayo Ayodeji(Arshavin) said that

"I already provided the equipments for the red cross team, but they refused to keep coming due to reasons that they should be provided with food every match".
