The president of Mass Communication department, Comrade Ibitoye Gideon of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, has kicked against the obscene picture of the assaulted student of mass communication by one of the paramilitaries on campus, which has gone viral on the social media especially, on WhatsApp.

Gideon has called out to the Student Union Government (SUG) President, Omote Temidayo Isaiah, to see to the viral picture by bringing it down.
in his words, "We appreciate your efforts at apprehending the perpetrators, however, we wish that Mr. President and his cabinet have not acted professionally by releasing the obscene pictures which is unethical, and may result in defamation of character.
"We hereby request the mandatory take down of the unpalatable picture of our student flying around on social media, especially whatsapp".
Meanwhile, Gideon earlier noted that the released memo by the SUG President, did not carry the SUG public relations officer's name, who is known to be professionally versed.
He however assured the Union against holding any charges if their request is aced within 24 hours.
