RUGIPO Decides: Omote  Elected As Student Union President 

Comrade Omote Temidayo Isaiah,a student of the Department of Business Administration (BAM) has emerged as the new elected Students' Union President. 

The Chairman of Independent Student Electoral Commission (ISEC) Comrade Zachaeus Ojo made this known while announcing the result  yesterday

. 

According to him "Omote Temidayo Isaiah who poled 275 votes defeated his counterparts" Jegede Ayomide(Electrical Engineering), Olatunji Bright,(Nutrition and dietetics) Ojo Ademola (Fishery) who has 208, 157, 40 Votes respectively. 

"A total number of 5,639 votes were registered during the election while a total number of 692 votes were casted for the election. 

Announcing other results, Zachaeus said, Arouture Elizabeth Orere won the position of Vice President post with 538 votes, Adeyeye Alexandre-453from the department of Computer engineering won for the position general secretary with -453 votes 

"Ikugbayi Taiwo Oluwadamilola- from the department of accountancy won for financial secretary with 529 votes Godwin Blessing Ihotu from the department of accountancy won for Treasurer with 501 votes 

"Ogundipe Ajayi John from the department of Public administration won for Welfare director with 249 votes Akinjolie Joseph Imoleayo from the department of  Computer engineering won for social director with 319 votesOdunayo Ayodeji Abulogbonf from the department of Science laboratory Technology won for Sport director) with 481 votes, 

"Aregbesola Ayomide Oluwaseun- from the department Science laboratory Technology won Assistant general secretary with 473 votes while Oyebode Ifeoluwa from the department of Social development(won Public Relations with 310 votes 

However, the newly elected President, Comr. Omote, while extolling the voters, promised to work assiduously for the students and the growth of the institution at large.
