DSA, ISEC GIVE REASON FOR DELAY, RESCHEDULING OF ELECTION

The Dean of Students Affairs (DSA), Dr. Olu-braimoh, on Wednesday stated the reason for the delay and rescheduling of the SUG election.


According to the Dean, at the institution's ICT where voting is to be done, unveiled that the reason the election was rescheduled to hold on the 29th of February was due to the inclusion of past ND2 and HND2 students getting codes to cast their votes.


Meanwhile, a member of the Independent Student Electoral Committee (ISEC), Rafiu Isaka Adeleke added that the delay was also caused by the misconception and misinformation that the past ND2 and HND2 will be included as eligible voters during the course of voting.


According to Rafiu, "the information got to the ICT late, which they try resolving but unfortunately it was resolved late."


Also, a student of Business Management, Kehinde Kolawole advised students to wait patiently till the appropriate time to vote.


Meanwhile, Rugipo Students lament as the ISEC committee members told them they will get a code to enable them cast their vote.


However, the agitation continued untill the election was later rescheduled to hold tomorrow 29th at the institution's ICT.
