The new Senators were unveiled at the first constitutional and inaugural sitting of the house held at the institution's Central Cafe building on Thursday, 12th of October 2023
RUGIPO PRESS gathered that, Adeoye Oluwadahunsi was inducted as the financial and budgeting Chairman, Senator Ganiyu Kushim as the senator in charge of welfare, while Senator Ajama Dein Desmond as the disciplinary committee member.
It was also gathered that there are no nomination for senator in charge of capital project as the nomination is shifted till the next sitting.
The Senate president, while congratulating the new inducted Senators, charged them to play their role which is expected from them.
"This nomination was to bring transparency into the affairs of the student union government in this institution"
"More importantly, the SUG executives in charge of funds (President, Financial Secretary and Treasurer) are to give accurate account on how funds is being spent since they assume office in June 2023.
