The Management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO) has said that the Resumption of academic activities on 15th of March, 2023 still remains intact.
This is coming after the governorship and House of Assembly election which was earlier scheduled to hold on Saturday, March 11, was postponed to now hold on Saturday 18, March, 2023.
The institution's Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Henry Olu-Braimoh made this known in a telephone interview with our correspondent on Thursday.
He said: "Resumption still remains March 15, 2023 , it has not been change. And I'm not sure they are going to change it again, all staffs will be resuming as well, that, I know for sure".
The postponement will not affect the resumption date which was originally meant to end the 3 weeks break given to its community members.
RUGIPO PRESS however gathered that, the 3 weeks break given to its staff and students was to enable them participate in the presidential, senate and house of representatives elections which had been concluded on February 25, 2023 including the governorship and house of assembly election slated for March 11, 2023.
