During a conjoined meeting with the management, the students representatives and aspirants vying for post, the Dean of students affairs Mr Olu-ibrahimo hereby suspend the election till further notice.
However, Rugipo Press learnt that the meeting was initially scheduled to discuss on the forthcoming election of the students Union government, SUG.
Meanwhile, after so many deliberations, the incumbent SUG president, Oluwafemi Olorunda negated the idea of conducting the election on 7th December, 2022 saying some unruly matters in the institution need immediate attention.
He further explained that due to the attack made to him by some unknown attackers, the institution needs to venture special attention to addressing the issue. Then, the election can be looked into and planned accordingly.
Therefore, after series issue has been raised, the Dean listed some resolution to be addressed before the conduction of the election:
Firstly, there are some boiling issues that needs immediate attention.
Secondly, security issue, due to what happened to the SUG president, holding an election will be out of risk.
He further advise all the aspirants to be on feet, "No one is disqualified" he said.
