The Ondo State-Owned Polytechnic, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO) on Monday hosted the Nigeria Polytechnics Game (NIPOGA)
Rugipo Press learnt that the NIPOGA is for both private and public polytechnic all over Nigeria, where Rugipo host the 21st edition of the game.
The preliminary stage had commenced on Monday 24th, October 2022 and will be co on Friday 28th, October 2022 in the institution.
Speaking with our correspondent, the Rugipo coach, Mr Emmanuel Abiodun said that he believes that his team can hold the NIPOGA successfully.
"The main game which supposed to hold by December 2022 was shifted to January 11th, 2023 after plead from the rector, Mr Gani Ogundahunsi due to the measure of preparation and additional facilities to be put in place" he said
"it has been a success so far and he is happy because they are moving to the final stage
"Due to inadequate facilities, the number of game to be held have to reduced to nine(9) games.
"Not all the nine games can go into preliminary"he said.
"Football, volleyball, basketball, chess, scramble for both male and female are the games to be held at NIPOGA.
