The Ondo State-owned Polytechnic, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Students Representative Council (SRC) in conjuction with the Students Union Executives Council (SUEC) has nominated its Committee during the 3rd inaugural meeting for 2021/2022 academic session
The inaugural meeting was held on Thursday at the Central cafe (CC) of the campus.
Rugipo Press learnt that 12 committee members were nominated out of 14 committee members while two other committe members are to be nominated in the next sitting.
The Newly appointed members of the committe were sworn-in by the Deputy speaker, Jubril Olamidele and were advised to be of good conduct always.
However, the SUEC were called on to tender their budget proposal for 2021/2022 academic session in which the financial secretary of SUEC, Emmanuel Segun presented the budget proposal to the house.
The senate President, Omoyungbo Tobiloba addressed the issue of the budget proposal and put an hold to the proposal due to the failure of the SUEC not attaching the bank statement with the budget proposal
Furthermore, one of the Senators in the house, Senator Olaniyi Akeem made it known that the budget proposal should as well carry all the executives budget.
Following the procedure, the SUEC were ordered to also bring along the supplemenatary budget list in the next sitting.
Meanwhile, the budget proposal for the Female hall of residence were addressed adequately.
The meeting was graced with the presence of the Senators, SUEC, Pressmen and observers.
