Ondo State owned Polytechnic's Students Union Government, SUG, under the leadership of Olorunda Oluwafemi Godwin has appointed Akolawole Busari as the Chief Judge of the institution.
He made this appointment at the first inaugural meeting of Students Representative Council, SRC, in conjuction with the students Union Government yesterday.
The Newly appointed Chief judge, Akolawole Busari while taking an oath of allegiance in the hallow chamber in the presence of all Senators was charged to be of good conduct.
Speaking on nomination at the meeting, the Senate president, Omoyungbo Tobiloba rebuked social sciences and communication studies for presenting a representative sent by the dean which is tagged an illegal act by the Constitution.
Therefore, the Students Judiciary Council (SJC) nominee were presented in hallow chamber, while the faculty of social sciences and management nominee were suspended because their faculty Election is yet to be conducted.
Moreso, based on some unforseen circumstances, the Senate President suspended the Nomination/Election of the SRC committe due to lack of response from the Senators in the house.
Highlight of the meting included; discussions of major issues in the campus, among which are; Hasten in releasing of results from the management, Issue of paying same amount both in first year and second year, Issue of harrasing and threatening students by students Who hold one post or the other.
Others included; Indecent dressing, School hostel maintenance, guys entering Female hostels and bushy environment, Opening of School Second gate for students to safe stress, negligent of duties by Health center attendance, School generator not functioning
The meeting was graced with the presence of the Senators, SUG executives,among others
