A National diploma (ND) student of Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, RUGIPO, Ademola Olayori who has earlier reportedly shoot by the operatives of Amotekun corp, is confirmed dead.
Ademola who was confirmed dead by his relative, after he was been shoot several times by the Amotekun corp on the 27th June 2022 in his residence at Isuada owo.
Report has it that, twelve bullets have been romoved from his stomach left with four other bullets in his leg, before he gave up to the ghost on thursday night, 7th july, 2022 at Federal Medical Center (FMC) Owo.
It was learnt that the Operatives of Amotekun corp were parading to apprehend a suspected thief in the vicinity of the victim after they receive an information that the suspected thief is living in the victim's hostel. The corps accidentally shoot the victim severally before they discovered it was a wrong person.
Report has it that, the Amotekun's men took the victim to a native doctor for treatment and was abandoned until the victim's relatives came to rescue him when his condition got out of hand.
He was taken to Saint Louis Hospital in Owo, after paying a sum of one hundred and ten thousand naira to the native doctor and was later transferred to FMC where he gave up to the ghost.
The victim's mother bitterly said she does not know how to describe the notorous act by the corps whether it's deliberate or not.
Meanwhile, the Students union Government, SUG, President and other students of the institution have vowed to protest over incident.
