RUGIPO: MGT APPROVES COMPULSORY USE OF ID CARD FOR STUDENTS

The management of Ondo State owned Polytechnic, now Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo has enforced a new rule for students of the institution.



The school Management mandated that both full time and part-time students should be putting on their identification card for easy identification.

 



In a circular letter released with the reference number DSA/CLS/30/VOL. 111/123 by the Directorate of students affairs of the institution, Mr. Bayo Elebute, noted that the reason ìs aimed at preventing any unscrupulous person from mingling with the students to cause any security breach on campus. 



The statement reads in part, "Sequel on how students of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic owo (RUGIPO) comes in and out into the campus without any form of identification, the School management has now made it compulsory for both full time and Part time students of the Institute to put on their identification cards.



"Henceforth, Any student without identification card would not be allow into School campus, therefore students are urge to always wear their identification cards at all times within the School campus.



"Meanwhile, Higher National Diploma (HND) 1 and National diploma(ND) 1 are exempted from this directive in the mean time as preparation is being made to process and issue them with their own identification cards.



Elebute however advised all students to comply with the directive lay down by the School management and equally give it a wide publicity
