Students Protesting at school gate
Students of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo has said the killer of the deceased, Ademola Olayori must be brought to book.
It will be recalled that the deceased was allegedly killed by an officer of the Ondo State Security Network Agency codenamed Amotekun on the 27th June, 2022.
The killing however resulted to protest in the ancient town of Owo and its environs on Friday
Speaking with Rugipo Press, about the incident, the institution's Student Union Government, President Olorunda Oluwafemi while expressing his grievenance about the incident, said the protest is to tell the government of Ondo State to take total charge over the deceased burial.
"The Amotekun official who commit the atrocity should be brought to the students and after faced the law and should be purnish by the law.
"Also, the Ondo State Government should as well compensate the victim's relative in other to show condelence over the deceased" Olorunda Oluwafemi said
Our correspondent gathered that the protest which lasted for hours started from the school gate, later moved to the Olowo of Owo palace and finally to the Governor's office at Akure to demand justice for the deceased.
