OLAYORI'S DEATH: ONDO GOVT COMPENSATES VICTIM'S FAMILY ```..... as deceased buried today amidst tears```

Following the murder of a student who was allegedly killed by an Amotekun Corps, the Student Union Government (SUG), Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, has said the request made for the deceased, justice has been granted.


Recalled that a National Diploma (ND) 1 student of Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) in Rugipo, Olayori Ademola was shot by Amotekun's men which led to his death on the 6th July, 2022.



In a letter released by the Students Union Government body and made available to Press Council noted that all request made on behalf of the deceased will be attended to by the Ondo State government.


The statement reads in part,  "The State government had a meeting with the deceased family and some students representatives to seek peaceful intension in which led to meeting with the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa in which some provision has been made.


It will also be recalled that Rugipo students made their intention known in a peaceful protest held at the State Government house in Akure to seek Justice for Ademola in which they moved a motion that the State government should compensate the deceased family and do a befitting burial for the deceased


"The State government made provision of sum amount of money for the burial of the deceased and also, the debuty governor promised the deceased child a scholarship to further the child education.


The State government however urged the family of the deceased and some students union leaders to come to the government house on the 20th of July to fulfill the promise they made by compensating the family of deceased 


Press Council however gathered that the deceased was buried earlier today(Tuesday) in his home town, Ipesi Akoko.
