The Student Union Government (SUG) body of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic,(Rugipo) Owo, Ondo State. Led by Revolutionary, Senator, Comr. Olorunda Oluwafemi Godwin, PKa. (INTELLECTUAL ORACLE ) urges the students of the institution not to lose hope concerning the present situation, but should be filled with positive thoughts.
He however uses this privilege to show a heart of gratitude and appreciation to all Rugipo students for their support, love, perseverance, calmness and good solidarization towards the ongoing strike by NASU AND SSANIP staffs, Rugipo Chapter, due to the Non-payment of over 12-month Salary.
"I do not want anyone to say or have any negative thoughts about the institution but to be patriotic because the institution have the highest measure of education and is doing every possible strategy to make sure all students are successful and equiped with maximum standard amongst other Nigeria students in the labour market.
"I also assure everyone that things will be according as planned this session, just a little time for us to put things right in the institution
"Moreover, The SUG body is working tiredlessly to make sure the date of resumption slated to commence on the 25th of April, 2022 is certain and not shifted and making sure all academic activities to commerce with immediately effect," He said.
Also, the SUG President urges all students to stay calm and be of good conduct of their behaviours in all areas while enjoying the Easter holiday and get prepared for the resumption and every other presumed academic activities.
Meanwhile, the SUG body uses this opportunity to rejoice and celebrate with the students of the institution towards the ongoing Easter break.
"We pray for God's grace to celebrate more Easter in Jesus name and also pray that our efforts will not be put to futility. Amen!" He concluded.
