RUGIPO POSTPONES EXAMINATION, WHILE RECTOR CONGRATULATES HER NEWLY MATRICULATED STUDENTS

The Management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, has postponed her forthcoming examination, earlier scheduled to hold on Monday, 9th of August, till the 16th of August,2021.

This information was unveiled in a circular released and signed by the Director of Academic Affairs, Mr. Gbenga Ademiluyi today, Friday, 6th of August, 2021.

According to the circular which disclosed that, the adjournment of the examination is to enable students pay up their tuition fees on time and complete necessary admission procedures.

However, in a related story, the Rector of the institution, Gani Ogundahunsi expressed his happiness towards the newly matriculated students of the 2020/2021 Academic Session.

Gani congratulated the students while presenting his speech, on Thursday, 5th of August, 2021, at the 800 Seaters Theatre Hall.

Gani said, ''the institution is a place where students fulfill their destiny and they should not allow their parent's effort towards their success be in vain''.

He stressed that, the conclusion of the matriculation, marked the end of admission of students into the institution, for 2020/2021 Academic Session, while a new chapter of admission for 2021/2022 session, will be open for aspiring students by the end of this academic session.

However, this event  is the 28th matriculation ceremony of it's kind and was held to officially welcome the new students in ND1 and HND1 respectively.

In addition, Gani enjoined all students to prepare hard for their forthcoming examination, shun malpractice and be security conscious at all times.

Furthermore, the Paramilitary Officers such as Cadet, Red Cross, Boys Brigade, Checkers and others displayed different matching technics and skills.

The Paramilitary men, alongside the institution's security men, ensured that there was maximum security during and after the ceremony.

Dignitaries priest at the event were Rector, Gani Ogundahunsi, Deputy Rector of Academics, Engr. Lawson, Directorate of Student Affairs, Gbenga Oloye, Dean of Student Affairs, Henry Olu-braimoh, Deans of Faculties, Directorates of Centres, HOD's of Departments, Lecturers, among others.
