The Dean of the Students affairs, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo (RUGIPO), Olu Braimoh has announced that paramilitary of the institution will begins its operations soonest.
Braimoh, maintained that the reinstatement of the security council was approved by the Governing Board of the Institution and will be reinstated on the Student Union Government ( SUG) Summit Day, adding that the paramilitary personnel would have been trained by the Nigeria Army in getting moral, physical fitness and discipline training.
The Dean who made the statements while speaking with our correspondents, revealed there were recent trainings engaged by the paramilitary personnel some days ago, to kick start its operations.
He also revealed, that the management will launch public awareness on Anti-cultism that will eradicate all criminal acts in the institution.
When asked about the reasons for suspending the paramilitary in the institution in the last four sessions, Braimoh who explains it was as a result of some indiscipline acts by the corps during students' protest on the school policy ' No school fees no examination'.
He also noted that the new reform paramilitary will be tactically different from the suspended corps.
However, the Dean urged students to shun indiscipline acts capable of disturbing the institution peace.
