The National Association of Akure South Students (NAAS), Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State chapter has welcomed its members in a grand style, which took place at Room 201 behind Rector's formal office on 28th of July, 2021.
The President of NAAS, Comr. Awopetu Michael said, the programme was organized to unite the people of Akure and to create awareness that Akure South association still exist in the institution.
Awopetu who narrated how Akure city was formulated, revealed that this will be their last meeting for the semester.
In his speech,The president showed gratitude to God Almighty for the success of the programme and everyone in the Attendance.
While speaking at the event, the association's stakeholder, Right Honourable Leo Eniowo Kayode, Miss Oye, Ayodele Olamide and one of the freshers, Miss Gbemisola Ayomide thanked God and the people present for their unrelenting support towards the great achievement of the programme.
The party featured eulogy of Akure, traditional songs, games, refreshments, choosing of miss Oye, Miss Ayodele Olamide, Public Administration Department (PAD) HND 1 among others.
