NOTHING BETWEEN

"Nothing between my soul and the Saviour, nothing of this world, elusive dream I have renounced and all sinful pleasure, Jesus is mine there's nothing between."

As she sang this song, her heart pricked her, a good and bold singer. Singing was her second nature but more often than not she sang with heavy heart. There was always conflict in her heart after performance. She found a big difference in her life on stage and out of stage.. She needed to do something but did no know what it was. She wept in her her heart as she sang unable to hold her gait, tears rolled freely down her cheeks. She knew she was lying in singing that there was nothing between her soul and the saviour.

After a few abortions she was tired of life. She wanted to serve God, albeit her desires were at variance with her serving God as a gospel soloist. Her heart cry was " O wretched sinner that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death" (Romans 7:24). The performance must continue and as such she lifted her voice so as to continue the last line. The silence of the night, the beauty of her voice, and the good instrumentation gave credence to the message "NOTHING BETWEEN ". Her singing ended with thunderous applause and she went back stage. She wept uncontrollable as the crowd dispersed. Since she was the last performance. The message was clear.

Oh see the Message to all!!

"NOTHING BETWEEN"

Dear friend, are you sure there is nothing between your Soul and the Saviour? Does your life not belittle the truth of God's word? Are you the same individual in and out of Church? Saul thought nothing was between but Samuel felt otherwise. The bleating of the best sheep in Amalek was an indication that the thing between Saul and his destiny was simply greed. Judas Iscariot was destroyed by greed and stealing while Demas died because of the love for the things of this world. Esau's uncontrollable appetite was his undoing while Solomon's love for skimpy skirt made folly of his wisdom. Samson's power failed because of his desire for prostitutes while Achan's list for money wrecked his entire generation. Are you sure there is nothing between? That little anger, the subtle pride and the arrogant self-seeking desire must be repented of. That list for girls, gold and glory must be repented of. You cannot sat there is nothing between when you are unequally yoked to an unbeliever. Things are amiss when you defile the marriage bed, lie and deceive with an impudent lace.

What is that thing between you and your Saviour? What is that "BUT"? That besetting sin, that carelessness and lack of watchfulness must be repented of or else it drowns God's voice within your soul. The music continues, NOTHING BETWEEN. The soloist face fades but the message still rings " Nothing between my soul and the Saviour,nothing of this world's elusive dream ".

In case there is something, no matter how small kindly repeat the following prayers:

" Heavenly father, I come to you. I acknowledge my sins and I accept the sacrifice, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I repent of all my sins and I ask for pardon. Lord Jesus, I invite you into my heart as my Lord and Saviour.
