The Pioneer Students 1979-1983 of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, has today pledged to support the management in development.
This was made known to our correspondent in a tree plant program in respect of their departed mates as part of their reunion.
Speaking, one of the pioneer member who thanked the school management for the massive projects which they have put in place for the betterment of the institution.
In his reaction, The Rector of the institution Mr.Gani Ogundahunsi stressed that, the 1979-1983 set were the first set of graduating students which the School had produced and that most of them holds top offices in Nigeria.
As the head of this institutions, "I am very proud of them, Most of them holds top economic offices in Nigeria".He said.
He appreciated the love and patriotism which they have showcased in their presence at the institution, thereby making them good Ambassadors of the institution.
Gani further noted that "They have their quota to contribute to assist the management for her good administration."
"I want to sincerely thank you all for supporting the management and also remembering your source", He said
In the same vein, the National President of Alumni Association,Rugipo Chapter. Mr.Olufemi Iyiola, said, "I'm so happy for this starting in my own time for their support to their alma-mata and that all alumni and pioneer are working together for the improvement of this great citadel of learning".
"Also this is a great privilege for most of them to know the new campus unlike the technical school they went to in their time. They are here to support the management."He said.
The Chairman of the Pioneers thanked the management for the well done job which is being put in place for the betterment of the institution. He said, "Government cannot do it alone,we will contribute our own quota to make the best out of the institution".
He further said that, the institution was very conducive during their time and has been a massive boost for the management.
He said the management greatly felicitate with them.
