The School management has approved the Full-time and Part-time Student Union Government Election which is said to hold between 19th and 22nd of April, 2021.
This was unveiled through a circular release and signed by the Director, Students Affairs, Mr M.O Oloye with the reference no :RUGIPO/DSA/SUG/111/Vol.v/223.
Adding that, the modalities of the election includes; E-Voting, E- Campaign, and the maximum financial commitment toward the election should not be above 50,000 naira as anything above this will lead to aspirants disqualification.
The qualifications for a Student to contest for any position is in accordance with section 27.2 on the Student information handbook.
The timetable for the election is stated below;
Monday 19th April, 2021- Lifting of ban on SUG and PTSU politics, Constitution of electoral committee, purchase and submission of electoral form.
Tuesday 20th April, 2021- Screening of eligible aspirants; Departmental, Faculty, Hall executives Election and E- campaign for all eligible aspirants.
Wednesday 21th April, 2021- Election and Announcement of result.
Thursday 22nd April, 2021- Student representative council election.
However, every electorate should have evidence of full School fee payment.
