The Independent Students Electoral Committee Chairman, Comr. Alomaja Christopher has announce Comr. Tabiti Inumidun as the winner of the Chairman for the Council of Governors Election.
Tabiti Inumidun from faculty of engineering emerge as the new COG chairman after having 88 votes.While his opponent from Applied Science had total of 7 vote.
The Election took place at the Adekunle Ajasin auditorium today with the presence of Class Governor and Deputy to exercise their franchise with their Council identity Card.
Every other post which were unopposed are; Dickson Feyiro Blessing vice chairman, Adigun Morenikeji General secretary ,Ilegusi Oreofe Assistant General secretary, John Moses Financial secretary,Adeoye Dolapo welfare and Osawaru Omosede Treasurer.
The total number of register voters 184 and accredited voters 104 ,total number of vote cast 104.
Speaking after the Election, The outgoing COG Chairman, Comr. Oluyede Michael advised the just Elected chairman and other executives to continue with the good legacy the outgoing executives are leaving behind.
Also the National Association of polytechnic students chairman (NAPS)Comrade Olalere Benedit, P.K.A. Otunba implored the Nigeria Students to be a good ambassador of Nigeria Polytechnic and embrace peace and unity with themselves.
"We Comrade must be a good leader wherever we find ourself". he said
He also Commended the COG ISEC Chairman, Executive and other members of COG for the good conduct of the election
However, ISEC Chairman Comr. Alomaja Christopher urge the Elected chairman to keep to all his promises.
