otball competition took another dimension at Rufus Giwa polytechnic Owo sports complex as the female students of the institution entertain the Rector of the institution Mr Gani Ogundahunsi, the Deputy Rector, and other principal officer of the school as well as the students.
The match which was between the RECTOR'S team and that of Deputy Rector was full of comic and interesting moment as the Rector team defeated the Deputy Rector team by one goal to nothing.
Addressing the students, the Rector, Mr Gani Ogundahunsi urged them to appear before the committee checking documentations of all students and as well continue to be of good conduct during the examination period.
The RECTOR'S CUP Final kicked off immediately after the female match between the faculty of Applied science and faculty of business.
The first half of the match ended in a 0:0 draw as both team failed to find the back of the net, wasting much of their chances with the Applied science number 12 jersey down to injury.
Ten minutes to the second half of the Final match, faculty of business open the score sheet. Number 11 jersey got the second goal but the third goal was ruled out for offside.
The high point of the closing ceremony was the presentation of the trophy to the champions by the Deputy Rector, Engineer Lawson.
The faculty of business emerged the winner for male competition while the RECTOR'S team won the female tournament.
